Message: Great shop. We were thinking we needed a brake job but rather than just doing it, they checked and said we have plenty of time before it was needed. The original estimates cost was very reasonable, but we did not need them now.

Message: I Really dont like writing negative so Ill be kind on the star rating. Will Just simply explain my experience. I am a transplant & this is the third garage so far. I brought a company van in. It was missing, drove fine previously. I'm no Mechanic but I stated I believe it needs a tune up. They put the computer on it & stated it only needed a ignition coil. Fair Enough. The OD button on the shifter was gone, so they refused to put a sticker on it. This isnt the only place I've lived in WV, first for me. Fair Enough. A part was forgotten (said it was the supplier not getting their info upon my inquiry) Fair Enough. A tech needed the van so I had to pick it up before the part (washer component) came in. They stated then that the button & nodule should be replaced. Old ford van, common. That did tell me that they obviously opened the distributor. I paid for it & picked it up. RAN WORSE THEN WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF! The distributor position was all off. Our employee took it to a mechanic in Elkview he used. Picked it up today so hopefully 4th is the charm. Amongst a few other things they (Elkview mechanic) did. A full tune up was of course done & very much warranted. They (Chestnut) called me when the part came in & I stated the first part (of the post) to them. Like before, when I dropped it off, really don't think they were listening. Your call, I'm sure there are competent mechanics there. I am not of the opinion one worked on my vehicle. Luck of the draw I guess, You may (or may not??) experience what I did. Waste of $$, & the most valuable comity. Our Time.

Message: Great friendly mature folks, started to work on my car right away. Great family business owned by veterans. Being from Canada and needed the help, it couldn't be better. Enjoyed the chat with them. Neat work.

Message: If I could give 10 stars I would! While traveling we heard what we believed to be a bad front right wheel bearing. The sound got progressively worse. We prayed over the situation and that we'd find the right place. We were about 400 miles from our stop for the night in Charleston, West Virginia and would be going another 500 the next day. I called several repair shops along our route but many said they couldn't get to it for days. Finally, I spoke with Corey at Chestnut Street Auto Repair Shop in Charleston, West Virginia. He quoted me a fair price and said if I could be there when they opened at 7 the next morning I'd be the first car in.. I was there before 7. I spoke with one of the owners, Richard, and relayed my conversation with Corey and after a few questions, he said "they'd take care of me". About 40 minutes passed, Richard came and let me know he'd driven the car, looked over both front tires and the right front wheel bearings were bad. Was waiting on the part and would have me ready shortly. I told him how grateful I was and appreciated them getting the car attended to so quickly. That it's an uneasy feeling finding a dependable repair shop while traveling. He said, "That's why we are here". As I sat there, customer after customer came in, some regular and some new. All were greeted kindly and was told to have a great day as they left. True to his words I was out by 8:30 and under the quoted price! I cannot say enough good things about my experience, from the first call several hundred miles away to driving away that morning,. thanks to Richard and Corey, we never skipped a beat in our trip!

Message: Brought my car in for a state inspection. Service was fast and friendly and they even turned off the oil light that Walmart auto center left on without me having to ask! I’ll definitely be coming back here next time I have an auto issue.

Message: First off, these guys are great! I didn't need to schedule an appointment, I came super early, and one of the owners, Richard, listened to everything I was worried about, replaced a cross threaded lug stud, swapped tires for me, balanced the tires and mounted them for me. He paid very good attention in making sure the lugnuts didn't get cross-threaded again, and while I waited for my car to be complete, I had a blast chatting with Kellie up front, thank you guys so much and keep up the great work!
